Obituary for Anthony Paul Onorato Anthony Paul Onorato of Saratoga Springs, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 1, 2018 at this home. He was 92 years old. Born on May 11, 1926, in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Gandolfo and Maria Onorato.

Upon graduating from high school, Mr. Onorato proudly served in the United States Army during WW II. He was discharged in June of 1946. Anthony worked as a teacher for the Scotia Glenville High School for over 25 years, until his retirement in 1981.

In his leisure, he enjoyed golfing, photography and the Adirondack Mountain. His greatest love and enjoyment came from spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren. He is predeceased by a brother, Ernest Onorato; and a sister, Ann Plummer; who both passed away in 1981.

Survivors include his daughter, Christine Gorgen and her husband, Richard of Charlton, NY; a son, Paul of St. Petersburg, FL; and a daughter, Jacquelyn Smith and her husband, Fred of Clifton Park, NY; four grandchildren, Zachery and Andrea Gorgen and Jenna and Brandon Smith; a sister, Jane Cottrell of Seattle, WA; his beloved companion of over 32 years, Jetta Phillips; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Ave. , Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Tunison Funeral Home, 105 Lake Ave. , Saratoga Springs, NY. Burial will follow at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd.
