Obituary for Anthony S. Cascio Anthony S. Cascio, 73, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born Saturday, February 10, 1945 in Manhattan, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Mary Cascio. Anthony spent most of his life in Brooklyn, before settling in Staten Island In 1988.
He served honorably in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966 as a Private. Anthony was an avid piano player taking lessons as a child. He was a member of a Raquet Ball Club in Brooklyn, a hobby he truly enjoyed.
He also loved going to the gym and taking trips to Atlantic City. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Maria; his loving children, Dawn Buday and Anthony LaPorta; his dear sister, JoAnn Colonna and his cherished grandchildren, Andrew Buday and Alexandra LaPorta. The family will receive friends from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018, and Monday, September 17, 2018 at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd.
(at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Our Lady of Pity Church located at 1616 Richmond Avenue Staten Island, New York 10314. Cremation will be private.
