Anthony “Tony” Mauro, 52, of Washington Twp. , passed away on Sunday Dec. 16th in Donnell House, Washington, PA.

He was born on May 2, 1966 in Inglewood, CA, the son of Patricia (Donald) Summers Hutchinson, and the late Joseph A. Mauro. Tony grew up in Monessen and was a 1984 graduate of Monessen High School. He had worked for JED Heating and Cooling Inc. as an HVAC Technician.

Tony was an avid fisherman and loved to do wood working and gardening. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Catherine J. (Burnette) Mauro; a son Michael Synder; two daughters, Alona Snyder and Madeline Brennan; three granddaughters, Lori, Elli, and Lexi Snyder; three brothers Joseph (Susan) Mauro, Dino (Debbie) Mauro, Matthew Mauro; and by a sister, Melissa Lofts. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emilio Mauro and Theresa McCann, and paternal grandparents, Donald and Mildred (Deitsch) Summers.

Friends will be received on Wednesday Dec. from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will follow at 7:00 pm.
