Obituary for Antonia Moreno Antonia (Toni) Moreno, 91, a resident of Quincy, Washington passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born July 20, 1927 at Doctor Arroyo Mexico to Toribio and Anita (Santoy) Palomo. She was the eldest of 8 children.

She was educated in Mexico and grew up on the family farm helping with whatever needed to be done. Toni was a true lady of her time, riding the horses side saddle only. When Toni was thirteen, the family moved to the city of Reynosa, Mexico and when she was sixteen moved to Hidalgo, Texas.

On August 4, 1952 she married Eluterio Moreno at Hidalgo, Texas. They started their married life by moving to Sunnyside, Washington where their first-born daughter was born. Two years later on a trip to Texas, their son was born.

Toni and Eluterio were married one month short of 37 years, when she lost him in death. She was a stay at home wife and mother most of her life. During the 1950’s Antonia came in contact with Jehovah’s Witnesses and truly loved what she was learning from the Bible.

She shared her Bible knowledge and faith whenever possible. She attended the Ephrata Congregation for many years where she learned to speak English. In 1995 she became part of the Quincy Spanish Congregation.

Antonia is survived by her two children: Aida (Raymond) Williams of Ephrata, son Luther Jr of Quincy, two grandchildren, sisters: Rosa Perez of McAllen, TX; Lupe Varela of Camarillo, CA; brother Alberto Palomo of McAllen, TX and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Luther Sr, brothers Andres and Cayo Palomo, sisters Natividad Rodriguez and Dominga DeLaRosa. A memorial service will take place at the Ephrata Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 902 2nd Ave SE, Ephrata, WA on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. Please express your thoughts and memories for the family at www.
