Ardell Peterson, 66, of Fargo, ND, formerly from Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away on Monday, May27, 2019 at Sanford Hospital due to injuries sustained in a fall. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 11a.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 9-11a.m. Ardell Gail Stallman was born on June 16, 1952 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Sylvester and Leona (Schiving) Stallman. She graduated from Detroit Lakes High School with the class of 1970.

She continued her education at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes, MN, with her Practical Nursing Degree in 1979. Ardell dedicated her life in care for others. She worked for over 24 years for Sanford Clinic in Fargo, ND, as an LPN.

On September 25, 1971, Ardell was united in marriage to Gary Peterson, to this union four children were born, Laurie, Tracy, Sherry, and Matthew. The family moved to the Fargo area in 1982. Ardell enjoyed doing crafts in her spare time, going to bingo and rummage sales.

She treasured the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She was an active member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary post # 762 in Fargo, ND. Deeply loved, Ardell’s passing is mourned by her children Laurie Peterson, Tracy (Ron) Sauvageau, Sherry (Al) Kraft, Matthew (Kaley) Peterson; grandchildren Caley Olson, Jordan, Savanna, Paige, Morgan Sauvageau, and Olivia Kraft; great-grandchildren Bently, Aria, Qunicey, Peyton, Eloise and Thomas; siblings Sharon (Vernon) Jensen, Devonna (Frank) Chuba, Mary (Roger) Kimball, Bonita (Glen) Sperling, Twyla (David) Perrine and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Preceding Ardell in death were her parents; Siblings Diane Dunn and Daniel Stallman.
