OBITUARY Ardena Mae McVey March 20, 1928 – July 14, 2018 Ardena Painter McVey, stepped into the arms of Jesus on July 14, 2018 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Center. She spent the last 2 years at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home in Sissonville. Ardena was a former resident of Utah Hollow Road, and 11th Street, Dunbar.

Ardena was born to the late Marion and Sadie Painter on March 20, 1928. Ardena was a member of Dunbar Mountain Mission, and accepted Jesus as her Savior many years ago. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Hamilton, after 22 years of marriage; infant son, Paul Hamilton Jr.; and her 2nd husband of 16 years, James O. McVey; sisters, Leota Ranson, and Mary Frances Hamilton; and brothers, Charles Painter, and Shelby Painter.

Left to cherish her memory are sisters, Imogene Maynard, Wanda Berg, and Linda McElhaney; caregivers, Kenny and Barbara Stone, Brenda Hamilton, and Sharon Foster; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom she loved dearly. Service will be 1:00pm Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313 with her niece, Barbara Stone, providing a Eulogy. A gathering of family and friends will begin one hour before the service at the funeral home.
