Argerine Sneed Kemp October 29, 1931 – February 19, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences Argerine Sneed Kemp of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William “Bud” Sneed and Alice Baker Sneed, was born October 29, 1931, in the Gradyville Community of Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 4:59 P.M., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 87 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

Argerine was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and had also worked in the cafeteria for Campbellsville School System. She united in marriage to Coy H. Kemp June 25, 1949 and he preceded her in death June 2, 1969. During Argerine’s short time at Grandview Nursing Home, she was voted President of Residents Council.

In her spare time, she loved reading the Bible, going to church and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Danny Kemp and friend, Carol Bryant and Deanna Kemp Cowherd and husband, Robert “Boo” Cowherd of Campbellsville and Donnie Kemp and wife, Kathy of Louisville; daughter-in-law, Lois Ann Kemp of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren: Terron “T” Kemp and wife, Carla of Mason, Ohio, Leigh Ann Crick and husband, Eric of Brownsburg, Indiana, Laura Allison Grannis and husband, Dustin of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Jamie Kemp and husband, Dr. Robert Cacchione and Daniel Kemp of Louisville, Jason Kemp of Lexington, Megan Barnes and husband, Slade, Christian Cowherd and wife, Devin and Jordan Kemp Cowherd of Campbellsville; six great-grandchildren: Lauren Crick, Archie Cacchione, Ellie Cacchione, Nolan Barnes, Owen Barnes and Addie Reyn Cowherd; two step-great-grandchildren: Tanner Barnes and Lauren Barnes; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son, C. Darrell Kemp September 29, 2011; one brother and seven sisters: Austin Sneed, Ivy Coomer, May Coomer, Della Tarter, Catherine Montgomery, Christine Tweddy, Nina Bingham and Lula Elizabeth Sneed.
