Obituary for Arlene Jewel Riley Bailey Arlene Jewel Riley Bailey, 79, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away from dementia on Wednesday July 11, 2018. She was living here for the last 18 years, being born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. In her youth she was a Cheerleader and a pageant winner for being beautiful both inside and out.

She spent many years as a social worker, a substitute teacher, and as a trusted CAN to many patients. She will be remembered most for her dedication to her faith and love for our Lord Jesus, that she passed on to the generations after her. When the conversation would slow down, she would fill the void with a simple “Praise the Lord”.

She was also generous with her time to family and friends with her Cooking talents and her love for gardening. One of her favorite sayings was a plant “wasn’t happy there” and so she would move it. We all know now that God has moved her to a place she is happy and whole again.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frencha and Pearl Riley. And is survived by her two sisters Sharon Ott, Jean Riley, and her brother Stanley Riley, all all of texas. She was a loving wife to her recent husband Gordon Bailey.

A beloved mother of four to Christi Irwin, Bob and Lisa Seward, Darla and Dave Freeborn, and Danell Zorn. She was also a grandmother of 12 and a great-grandmother of 9. A step mother and grandmother to many.

She was an aunt to several nieces and nephews. A True lifelong friend to Helen Driskill and Shirley Puhlman. Many thanks to the caregivers at Mary and Martha’s personal care of Rossville, and the ones from Homestead Hospice They all did their job with a loving heart and it is appreciated.

Services were held with a graveside memorial service on Friday July 13, 2018 with all of her family. And she is lovingly placed at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
