Arlene R. Gardner, 89, a lifetime resident of Tiffin, died Thursday, May 31, 2018, peacefully at her home. She was born May 4, 1929, in Tiffin, to Gordon and Clara (Rogers) Buton. She married John R. Gardner October 14, 1950, in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He preceded her in death on December 6, 2006. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Stover of Tiffin, and Susan Brown of Utah; four granddaughters, Erica Gardner, Heather Hoover, Kimberly Boucher and Becky Ward; seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; and a sister, Doris Green of Kansas, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Stephen Gardner.

Arlene was a 1947 Columbian High School graduate and attended two years of college. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 followed with funeral services at 11 a.m. all at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113.

Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
