Obituary for Armand J. Lacroix Armand J. Lacroix, 93, of Methuen, passed away on October 6, 2018 at the Cedar View Nursing Home in Methuen. Born on October 3, 1925 to the late Omer and Lea (Arbour) Lacroix in Lawrence, MA where he was raised and educated, he graduated from Lawrence High School with the Class of 1943. A decorated WWII veteran, Armand enlisted in the US Army Air Corps and proudly served his country.

After his discharge from the military, he settled in Methuen to raise his family, and worked for many years as a sales representative for Salem Building Supply until his retirement. A lifelong devout Catholic, Armand was a communicant for Saint Monica’s Church and was also a member of the Methuen Knights of Columbus #4027. A devoted family man who loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren, he was a member of DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and loved the Boston Red Sox.

Armand touched many lives in many different circles and will be loved, cherished and missed by all. Armand is survived by his two children; his daughter, Maureen Melnicki and her husband Andrew of New Ipswich, NH, and his son, Ronald Lacroix of Hampton, NH. He was the proud grandfather to his nine grandchildren; Kevin, Lauren, Matthew, Andrew, Lisa, Nicholas, Fred, Christopher and April and his thirteen great grandchildren.

Armand is also survived by his three siblings; Raymond & Leo Lacroix and Rita Rozumek, his son-in-law Fred Pavone, all of Lawrence, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Carol Pavone and his life long partner Peggy Fugge. Visitation for Armand will be held on Thursday October 11, 2018 from 4 – 7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen.

Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 110 N. Lowell Street, Methuen.
