Schroyer, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in the comfort of his home. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Peggy (Motto) Schroyer; his daughters, Kathy (Vince) Kroening, Denise (Lawrence) Goodwin, Lisa (Darryl) Whitmore; brother, Jim (Jill) Schroyer, beloved dog, Autumn, grandchildren; Briana Boose, Rachel Kroening, Lindsay Kroening, Ryan Kroening, Grace Whitmore, Eve Whitmore, Gerrit Goodwin; great-grandchildren, Kara Arbogast, Gabriella Goodwin, and Finnley Carr and many close friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jay, Ed and Danny Schroyer.

Born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, PA the son of Arthur M. Schroyer and Amy (Thomas) Schroyer, he married at the age of 17, and had three children by the age of 24. He went to school at DeVry University in Chicago, IL while working two jobs, with an unwavering commitment to support his family.

He spent over 30 years building a successful career in telecommunications at Northern Telecom, and resided in Vernon Hills, IL where he made many close friends. He retired at age 62 and moved to Florida, then Kentucky and then settled in Grayslake, IL. Art had a passion for golf, fishing, the Chicago Bears and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held March 24th from 1:00 – 3:00 at The Lake Lodge, #1 Saddlebrook Drive, Grayslake followed by memorial service at 3:00. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Journey Care, Barrington, IL.
