Arthur’s Obituary Arthur Phillips, age 72, of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly from Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019. He was born November 25, 1946 in Hope, to the union of Talbot and Mary Phillips. He joined Mt.

Olive Baptist Church in Perrytown at an early age. Arthur received his education from The Yerger High School, graduating in 1965. Arthur honorably serve his country as a member of the United States Airforce as a military police officer in the Vietnam War from February 21, 1966 to December 8, 1969.

After returning to the U.S., Arthur met and married Georgia Haynes, and to this union three girls were born. Arthur held numerous jobs throughout his life. He was definitely a “jack of all trades”.

If it was broken he could fix it. Arthur enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Herbert Phillips and a sister, Judy Johnson.

Arthur leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters: Felice Reed of Little Rock, Arkansas, Angie Phillips-Johnson (Chonnel) and Erica Phillips both of Hope, Arkansas; two brothers: Robert Phillips of Little Rock, Arkansas and Steve Phillips (Jonnalyn) of Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister Jeanette Phillips of Hope, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Anthony, Christopher and Jonathan Reed all of Little Rock, Arkansas, Michaela Minefee and Nevaeh Laws both of Hope, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends. His Home Going service will be held at 1:00 pm. , on Saturday February 9, 2019, at Mt.

Olive Baptist Church in the Perrytown community of Hope. There will be a visitation for family and friends at Brandon’s Mortuary in Hope, on Friday February 8, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. As per his wishes, his earthly body will be cremated after his funeral.
