OBITUARY Arthur Taylor Goss Jr. October 19, 1959 – December 1, 2018 I’am: Arthur T. Goss Jr Child of the one true King On Saturday, December 1st 2018, Arthur T. Goss Jr., loving husband and father of two children, passed away at age 59. Arthur was born to Arthur T. Sr. and Polly E. Goss on October 19th 1959 in Japan at Johnson AFB. While attending Judson High School, in Converse, TX he met Velda E. Marrow and they quickly became high school sweethearts.
They were married in May of 1980. Within nine years of marriage they experienced bliss and stress that come with a youthful marriage. In June 1981 their twin daughters Valencia and Vivian were born at BAMC of Fort Sam Houston Army Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Velda and Arthur settled In San Antonio TX where they raised their daughters. In Dec 2011 he married his current wife Pat Goss. Their seven year marriage was filled with fun, love, laughter, compassion, adventure and worship.
Together they treasured all of life’s blessings and weathered the most sorrowful trying times hand in hand. Arthur graduated from Judson High School then proudly joined the Navy in summer of 1978. He served four years in the Navy and then served the rest of his military career in the Army National Guard in which he retired as a Sergeant First Class.
He retired from the guard and civil service after over 20 years of service. His last days of work occurred in Aug 2018 while working under a Randolph AFB clinic maintenance department government contract. He loved his work at the Randolph AFB clinic.
He worked until he could physically not work anymore. Arthur enjoyed living life to the fullest. His contagious laughter and positive gregarious spirit entertained and touched people’s lives in a way that he will never be forgotten.
He spent countless weekends with his family and friends at Canyon Lake, down at the coast, at a Parrot head event, Christian concert or family gathering. The lake was his second home. He was Capt.
of his pontoon boat and he loved jumping waves on his wave runner. As a born again Christian and devoted member of Community Bible Church he always joyously looked forward to Saturday or Sunday service, singing in choir, leading his table at men’s bible study and going on annual men’s bible study retreats. Arthur is preceded in death by his mother Polly E. Goss and survived by his father, Arthur T. Goss Sr., wife, Pat Goss, brother, Alan Goss, two sisters, Vicky Tomlinson and Valerie Neubauer, two daughters, Valencia and Vivian Goss and granddaughter, Violet Weidner along with many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Community Bible Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Goss Sr., wife, Pat Goss, brother, Alan Goss, two sisters, Vicky Tomlinson and Valerie Neubauer, two daughters, Valencia and Vivian Goss and granddaughter, Violet Weidner along with many nieces and nephews.
