Trey’s story began on November 8, 1976. He grew up in College Park and attended Stratford High School in Goose Creek, SC. He was in ROTC and had plans to join the U.S. Air Force after school, but God had other plans for him.

It was there at Stratford, as a freshman, that Trey met the love of his life, Katherine Qunell. They were the quintessential high school sweethearts. Kat and Trey got married on March 13, 1999 and decided to grow their beautiful family.

Trey graduated from Trident Technical College and from there decided to further his career in engineering at Boeing. Trey was a loving husband, absolutely wonderful father, and known as “the neighborhood dad”. To say that he loved kids and they meant the world to him, would be a huge understatement.

He lived his deep love for tennis through his daughter Kenzie. It was his utmost pleasure to coach, mentor, and play with her every day. She is a shining star on the court because of him.

When not on the tennis court, Trey could be found playing basketball or throwing the football in the yard with Braxton. He truly lived for his kids. Trey was the New York Giants #1 fan and was delightfully pleased to lead an entire household of fans of “the G-men”.

Trey had an infectious smile, was the true epitome of humility, and anybody that crossed paths with Trey couldn’t help but ultimately become his fan. It may sound like the typical phrase to say, “he will be truly missed”, but to those that were blessed by his presence, we know that Trey was anything but “typical”. He was truly one of a kind.

We will greatly miss you T-Dog. Arthur “Trey” Moten III, 42 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Trey leaves behind to cherish his sweet memories: wife, Katherine N. Moten; two children: Kenzie V. and Braxton L. Moten; father, Arthur Moten, Jr, grandmother, Laura Moten; brother, Bryan (Michelle) Moten; sister, Larhodia (Johnny) Bradley; brothers-in-law, Zachary and Sean Qunell; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Daryl) Pollins; nieces and nephews, Donna and Isabella Pollins; Bryson (Rachel) Moten; Hurbert Tyler, Felis Bigby (Brandon); Daisha and Destinee Poage and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
