Obituary for Artie Lee Robbins Seale Today Artie, beloved wife, mom, grandma and friend journeys anew with Grace. Artie Lee Robbins Seale, age 92, passed away on July 24, 2018. Artie graduated from Bartlett Texas High School in 1943.

She worked at Mack Davis Burgers and sold many hamburgers to a young man who frequented often: Glenn Harold Seale. They married December 2, 1943. Glenn served in the European Theater.

Artie, like many war wives, worked helping her family and his. Reunited after the war, they started a family having four daughters. Glenn and Artie settled in San Antonio, Texas in 1957.

She had many artistic gifts. She could sew a garment without a pattern. She made the most unique meals from whatever was on hand, and feasted all of us at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other celebrations.

She inherited her green thumb from her mother. They could grow anything. Artie helped with Girl Scouts, elementary school ‘room mother’ duties, and anything else she was asked to do and had the time to do it.

She had a quiet warm welcome when she met someone new, or greeted an old friend. She always said she single-handedly kept the coffee companies in business. She had a gift of making each of her six granddaughters believe they were her favorite.

Artie and Glenn both had a warm spot for animals and children. Her favorite pets were her birds – they shared a special connection. Artie and Glenn were accomplished bowlers belonging to multiple leagues at Astro Bowl for over 40 years.

She had a priceless sense of humor and loved shared laughter. She will be missed deeply. Artie is survived by her devoted husband of almost 75 years, Glenn; her daughters, Susan Wernle, Robin Sedgwick, Dinah Wootton, and Leisa Arias; granddaughters, Jana, Jenni, Melisande, Shea Lyne, Stefanie, and Natalie; great-grandchildren, TJ, Jason, Shelby, Audrey, Caleb, Campbell, Cullen, Carrigan, Ryan, Reagan, and Ace.

A private graveside service was held for the family. Anyone wishing to honor Artie may make a donation to any child advocacy organization. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Artie Lee Robbins Seale please visit our Sympathy Store.
