OBITUARY Aubrey Jack Autry August 6, 1934 – October 12, 2018 AUBREY JACK AUTRY AUGUST 6, 1934 – October 12, 2018 The Reverend Aubrey Jack Autry joined his wonderful parents, Aubrey and Lucille Autry, and three of his sisters, Esther Eckols, Evelyn Carley, and Shirley Autry with their Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven. Known as “Mr. Gospel Music” throughout Texas, he sponsored many gospel music groups, among them The Stamps Quartet, The Cathedrals, The Thrasher Boys, The Happy Goodman’s and The Oak Ridge Boys. Jack was the catalyst behind bringing gospel music to Texas and played “The Finest Gospel Music in the World” on radio station KDRY for 25 years.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Doris of 63 years, sons and daughters, Billy Autry, Deborah Autry, Rebecca Watwood and husband Tommy, Byron Autry and eight loving grandchildren. Also sisters, Lucille Kalmus, Berta Langhoff, Carolyn Deason, brother, William (Buddy) Autry, brother-in laws Anton Kalmus, Larry Langhoff and Charles Deason as well as numerous nieces and nephews. “Always look to the Lord Jesus and we will rejoice again on the other side”.
