Obituary for Audrey M. Newberry Audrey Marie Harbers Newberry was born on October 20 1935, passed away Friday December 21 st Known to everyone who knew her simply as “Mom”. She is now with her mother Collette, Father Edwin and brother Dick. She is survived by Robert (Brenda) Newberry, Carol Chaike, Jim (John) Newberry, Tony Newberry, and Dan Newberry.

Also, by (5)- Grandchildren Chrisy Coates, Allison Newberry, Michelle Newberry, Catherine Chaike and Nick Newberry. (7)- Great Grandchildren Logan Newberry, Austin Newberry, Mikie Coates, Maggie Coates, Christopher Fisher, Lilliana Fisher and most recently Leland Newberry and (1)- Great/Great Grandchild Eli Coates and many nieces and nephews. Besides raising her family, she worked as a bookkeeper for Newberry Construction in the 70’s & 80’s and then in the early 80’s opened her own business “MOM’s” Drive – Thru.

That’s how she got her nickname. Later she worked for her brother Dick Harbers and his business Metropolitan Tile and later with his son Sam Harbers until her retirement. She was the quintessential Mom.

When we would go camping in large groups with friends and family everyone would count on Mom to keep things organized and she did. When someone would say “Hey Mom where’s this or that at” she’d say, without pause, in the green tent, third cooler for the left under the napkins! It was just her nature at being everyone’s Mom.

And that’s what we want everyone to remember her as, simply Mom. She will be missed. Mom’s visitation will be at the Neidhard – Young funeral home 7401 Hamilton avenue Mt.
