August “Gus” Zimmerman, 88, of Kewanee, died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at OSF Hospital, Peoria, IL. Gus was born April 16, 1930 in rural Annawan, the son of August and Clara (Paxton) Zimmerman. Gus married Karen McMillan on June 5, 1964 in Kewanee, she survives.

Also surviving is one son; August Kevin (Carol) Zimmerman of Kewanee. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Aaron Kirk in December 2016 and brother, Donald. Gus served his country in the Army National Guard.
