Aurora “Nina” Mattes passed away peacefully on November 6, 2018, at Poets Walk Memory Care Center in Henderson, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard and son Dennis. Nina and her husband enjoyed motorcycle riding and belonged to the Honda Gold Wing Club for many years.

They traveled the country and enjoyed many charitable functions. She enjoyed camping and outdoor activities and loved working in her garden. Nina is survived by her son Randy (Lori) Mattes and granddaughters; Lauren & Kayla Mattes of Long Beach, CA and daughter Debra (Fred) Dalton and grandson Dylan of Henderson, Nevada.

She was blessed to have many extended loving family & friends and will be missed by many. Memorial Service will be held on Monday December 10, 2018 at 12:40 pm at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nevada State Veterans Home – Mariner Neighborhood.
