Awanda K. (Searles) Luedtke of Prescott, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, December 4, 2018, at MidMichigan Medical Center, West Branch. She was born in Saginaw on September 21, 1972, the daughter of Donald W. and Pamela (Witherell) Searles. Wanda married Richard R. Luedtke in Saginaw on December 20, 2007.

They had lived in Prescott for two years, having moved from Bridgeport. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed crocheting, building crafts out of wood, and taking care of her nails.

She loved being outdoors, whether it be camping, working in the yard, gardening, or caring for roses. Wanda was an organ and tissue donor with Gift of Life Michigan. Those left to cherish her memory included her husband, Rick; her children, James, Austin, Aaron, and Beulah “Be”; four grandchildren; her mother, Pamela Stevens; sisters, Heather Kroll and Audrey Searles; three half-brothers, Donald Searles, Josh Searles, and Ryan Searles; her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and other loving family and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Donald Searles, and a half-brother, Noah Searles. Rev. Dr. John R. Miller will officiate at her funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning.

Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her family.
