Barbara’s Obituary Barbara, of Farmington, loving wife, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother and friend, passed away Monday evening, May 20th, at Angela Hospice. She was 88. Barbara was born May 7, 1931, in Dearborn, to the late John and Eva (Higgs) Rees.

She married John Gordon Anderson on April 17, 1954, at Barbara’s parents’ home and a reception at the Dearborn Inn followed. Surviving are her beloved husband of 65 years, John Gordon; four children, Glen (Julie), Gail (Jeffrey) Newth, Gwen (Roger) Gobrogge and Brenda (David Jackson; her sister, Kathleen (the late John) Putnick; 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Sadly, Barbara was preceded in death by a grandson, James Newth, in 1997.

The Andersons have arranged for cremation, and Barbara’s interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Farmington. Those who wish to further honor Barbara’s memory are invited to consider contributions to Angela Hospice, Livonia.
