Barbara’s Obituary Barbara Ann Ealing, 85, of Ossian, passed away Monday morning, Feb. 11, 2019, at Signature Healthcare in Bluffton. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, on Jan.

4, 1934, to Elliott and Maud Anna (Carnes) Lepper, Barbara married Paul E. Ealing in Fort Wayne on Mar. 29, 1952; he survives. Barbara graduated from Fort Wayne Central High School in 1952 and worked as a group leader at Magnavox in Fort Wayne for 11 years.

She then served as the bookkeeper and co-owner (alongside her husband) of Paul Ealing Ford in Ossian for 14 years. Later she worked as a bookkeeper at Hiday Motors in Bluffton for 13 years, until her retirement. She was a member of Murry Missionary Church and enjoyed knitting hats for children in need in Bluffton.

Most of all, she enjoyed volunteering at the Bargain Hut in Bluffton for many years. In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by two sons, Lynn (Susan) Ealing of Bluffton, and Dennis (Angie) Ealing of Ossian; two daughters, Denise (Steve) Gerber and Paula (Stan) Urbine, both of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, Chad (Brooke) Ealing, Adam (Semra) Gerber, Joshua (Ashley) Gerber, Tony (Loretta) Urbine, Teresa (Joshua) Strack, Andrew Urbine, and Allison (Jacob) Brown; 13 great-grandchildren; and a granddaughter-in-law, Trisha Ealing McLaughlin. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, James, and Larry Lepper; and a grandson, Jason Ealing.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, from 2:00 until 8:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held Thursday, Feb.

14, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Mike Gilbert will be officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Bargain Hut.
