Obituary for Barbara Ann Peters Peters, Barbara Ann, 59 of Christiansburg, VA, peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, April 13, 2018. She was born on February 24, 1959 to Kenneth and Virginia Unger in Winchester, VA. Raised in Winchester, she attended James Madison University, graduating with a degree in teaching.

She taught Special Education in Berryville, VA before getting married and moving to Indiana, where she also taught Special Education. Having left teaching to raise her children, she later moved to Christiansburg, VA where she taught the first and then the second grade at the Christiansburg Primary School for twenty years. She will be remembered as a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and educator.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband Donald Peters; son and daughter-in-law Brian and Bethany Peters, daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Brian Armentrout; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Kelly Unger; nephew and niece, Ty and Mallory Unger, along with their mother, Kelly Moberg-Pepin. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 6 until 8:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home.
