Obituary for Barbara “Barb” Ann Franklin Barbara (Barb) Ann Franklin was the second of seven siblings born on February 22nd, 1947 in Anaconda MT. She was a life-long resident of Anaconda with the exception of a short residence in California. She met her husband Kenneth Ross Franklin shortly after completing high school and they were married in August of 1969.

They loved each other unconditionally and shared two adoring sons, Cory and Tom Franklin. She lived in California for six years after the Anaconda smelter ceased its operations. She loved exploring and sharing new adventures with her family, gardening in her beautiful yard, and appreciating the scenery and activities that Southern California had to offer.

However, her heart, extended family, and friends were in Montana, so the family returned to Anaconda in 1987. Barbara enjoyed traveling and was able to see many places in the last few years including her dream of visiting Graceland, the Tennessee Smokey Mountains, Seattle, Los Angeles, Scottsdale, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and locations throughout Montana. She enjoyed her sons and grandchildren to the fullest and made it a point to spoil them as much and as often as possible.

She also enjoyed spending time with her siblings, picnicking in the summer, cooking for her family, holiday gatherings, and recreational activities in the area. Barb was extremely generous and caring with all those she loved. Barb worked many years at Warm Springs State Hospital as a nurse’s aide who was dedicated to her job because of her warm and caring nature.

She retired from Warm Springs in 2012. She is survived by her sons Cory (California) and Tom and Tammi (Arizona), grandchildren, Samantha and Lili, Brittney, and Rielly, her siblings Jim, Donna, Lori, Bob, and Mary and her daughter-in-law Misty.
