Barbara Elaine Dill, 81, passed away November 28, in Puyallup, Washington with her family by her side. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to parents Meride and William Roush and spent her youth in southern Michigan. Her teenage years played out in Warren, Ohio with her Aunt Shirley and Uncle Bill Reynolds.

At Howland High School, Barbara was a baton twirling majorette and after graduation she moved to Washington State. In 1957 she married Andrew Hoffman and together they raised four children in Browns Point, a community she loved and was active within. She was a busy mom, caring for her children and working as a meat wrapper for Bergie’s ShopRite.

After her children had grown, Barbara continued working in the grocery industry and transitioned into retail management until retirement. She was admired for her hard work and competitive nature. She married Harold (Dave) Dill in 1985 and lived in Redmond, Washington.

She later moved back to Puyallup to be closer to her family. Barbara enjoyed crafting and quilting; she was a fan of Betty Boop and I Love Lucy; and she loved going to the casino and playing BINGO. She was quite lucky too!

She will be greatly missed! Barbara is survived by her four loving children: Deborah (Mark) Torgerson, Andrea (Barry) McColeman, Scott (Suzy) Hoffman, Gregg (Kim) Hoffman; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her brothers Bill (Mai) Roush, Ed (Linda) Roush, Frank (Judy) Roush, and sister Alice Sanderson. She was preceded in death by spouse Harold (Dave) Dill; former spouse Andrew Hoffman; half-sisters Norma Dikes and Wilma Claugh; and half-brother Raymond Roush.

The family wishes to extent special thanks to her doctors for their patience and exceptional care and to MultiCare Hospice for helping her and the family during her final days. Remembrances, in preference to flowers, may be made in honor of Barbara to the Parkinson’s Foundation. A memorial service, to celebrate Barbara’s beautiful life, will be held at 1pm Friday January 11, 2018 at Weeks’ Dryer Mortuary.
