Barbara J. Prather, 97, of Edgewater, died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Maytown Manor Assisted Living Facility. Born in Jamestown, New York on December 6, 1920 to Ernest and Mildred Myers Washburn, Barbara moved to this area in 1968 from Mayville, New York. A member of Servants’ Quarters Fellowship in New Smyrna Beach, she was the owner of Barbara’s Wheel of Fashion, and enjoyed volunteering, especially with her husband at the Lions Club.

Survivors include a son, Gary A. Bush (Charlotte); a daughter, Rebecca Schuster; 2 grandchildren, Brett Bush (Jennifer) and Kim Orsolits (Rob); and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, in 2003. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 6 at Settle-Wilder’s chapel, with Dr. David Starkey, Servants’ Quarters Fellowship, officiating.

Burial will take place at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater, following the service. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home. Donations may be made in Mrs. Prather’s name to: Servants’ Quarters Fellowship, 1429 Sabal Palm Drive, Edgewater, FL 32132.
