Obituary for Barbara Jean Allmandinger Barbara Jean Allmandinger, 88, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Crestview Acres in Marion. Per Barbara’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. A private family committal service will be held at a later date.

Barbara was born October 28, 1929, in Huntington, Indiana, the daughter of Paul and Garnet (Stonebreaker) Richardson. She graduated from South Central High school in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Barbara was a member of St. Marks Faith and Life Lutheran Church in Marion and the P.E.O. chapter. She enjoyed volunteering and was very creative in arts and crafts. Barbara enjoyed knitting, sewing, and even created a knitting camp at the University of Wisconsin Extension in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Most of all, she loved her grandchildren, which she called her “Gems”. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Byron (Michelle) Allmandinger and Amy Allmandinger, both of Marion; three grandchildren, Megan, Emily, and Jacob; and two sisters, Sally (Jim) Huhn of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Paula (Keith) Bynum of Lexington, Kentucky.
