Obituary for Barbara Jean Smith Barbara Jean Smith was born on August 20, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois to Willa Mane and Ollie Barrett. Barbara was one of four siblings Walter, Annie Kay and Ollie. After a thorough study of the Bible, Barbara dedicated her life to Jehovah and symbolized her dedication through water baptism in 1975.

Barbara was a faithful servant of Jehovah. She especially loved telling others about the good news of Jehovah’s Kingdom. When she could no longer walk from door to door, she made her home her personal territory, speaking to all who came to her home about her great God Jehovah.

Her warmth, kindness and love made her a great mother and grandmother. On June 3, 2018, Barbara Jean Smith fell asleep in death. She was preceded in death by her parents Marie and Ollie Barrett; siblings Walter Barrett, Annie Kay Wilson and Ollie Barrett; one son Robert Kendricks; two daughters Lillie Howard and Jenny Lee Barrett.

Barbara Smith leaves to cherish her memories, three sons Orson Smith, Lester Willis and Clifford Willis; two daughters Bonnie Smith and Ravinia Smith; her granddaughter, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
