Barbara’s Obituary Barbara J. Waldron, 90, of Big Rapids, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Evergreen Terrace in Big Rapids. She was born February 26, 1929, in Big Rapids, the daughter of Henry and Beulah (Montague) Romine, and graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1947. For several years, Barb worked at Michigan Bell Telephone in Big Rapids.

On November 2, 1957, Barb married David L. Waldron, and she enjoyed being a Navy Wife while he served. She was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the D. A. V. , and formerly served on the Green Township Board of Trustees. Dave preceded her in death on April 16, 2014.

Surviving are 2 sons, David Sean (Debra) Waldron of Elk Grove, IL, and Kelly Grove Waldron of Murietta, Ca; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Sandra Romine and Patricia (Glen) Burgett; brothers-in-law, Jerald (Geraldine) Waldron, and Lee (Virginia) Waldron; and many nieces and nephews. Barb was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister her brother Robert Romine, , and sister Shirley Dennis. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids.

Spring burial will be in the West Cemetery. Barb’s family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 3-6 p.m., and prior to services on Tuesday. Memorial contributions in her name may be made for the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
