OBITUARY Barbara L. Broadhurst Passed away on January 19, 2019 Barbara Lee Broadhurst, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 19, 2019. She was born on December 14, 1933 in Walnut Ridge, AR, the oldest child of Judge Percy Smith and Barbara B. Cunningham. She was raised in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and attended Hendrix College and retired in 1994 after a career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture ASCS office.

Barbara was a member of the Faulkner County Master Gardners, and a member and elder of First Christian Church in Conway. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Broadhurst; and a sister, Alice Jeanne Cunningham. Barbara is survived by her son, Stuart J. Wooldridge (Cheryl) of Magnet Cove, Arkansas, and a daughter, Melissa A. Courtway (Tom) of Conway, Arkansas; a sister, Mary Anne Meacham (Bruce) of Marietta, Georgia; a brother, James P. Cunningham (Angela) of Carrollton, Georgia.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Stonebridge Assisted Living Facility in Conway, and the nurses and staff of Hospice Home Care for their compassionate care and love for Barbara. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at First Christian Church, Conway, AR.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Conway, AR.
