Barbara L. Mitchell, 76, of New Vienna died Friday evening at her home. Born in Wilmington, the daughter of Jack and Mary Kaufman Farquer and Alice Farquer. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wayne Mitchell.

She retired had previously worked at McPherson-Huff and Mac Tool. Barb retired from Wal-Mart and owned and raced standard bred horses. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School where she was a majorette in the band and a member of the Clinton County Sulkettes.

Also survived by brothers; Jack and Vernon Farquer. Several grand and great grandchildren, also nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Michael “Loy” Farquar on January 17, 2018.
