Barbara L. Strayer, 54, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona, after a two-year battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rosella Keister. She married Thomas “T.J.” Strayer, Jr. on March 3, 1997.

Surviving are three children: April (Kent) Carneli, Thomas III and Jesse Strayer, all of Altoona; a stepdaughter, Shayla Strayer of Altoona; seven grandchildren: Anna, Bernadette, Randy, Wilson, Zachary, Brylee and Gina; four sisters: Janet (Steve) Neeley, Ruth Beaner, Samantha (Ezell) Smith and Charlene Feathers; four brothers: Paul (Karen) Johnson, Samuel Keister, Earl (Priscilla) Keister and Brian Keister; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three siblings: Earl Spade, Edith Spade and Donna Kiser. Barb enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren, country music, working puzzles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Altoona Bible Church, Pastor Stewart McClelland officiating. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
