Barbara Lois Potera December 13, 1936 – March 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Barbara Lois (Mihoch) Potera, 82 of Monroe Township died Sunday March 10th at Centrastate Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. Born in Larksville, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Potera lived in Plainfield, NJ before moving to Monroe Township in 1969. She was employed as a deli clerk for the Foodtown Store, Monroe Township for 15 years, retiring in 1986.

Previously she was employed at the Foodtown in Englishtown. Mrs. Potera was a member of St. Anthony’s Senior Club, Hightstown. She especially loved to be a doting grandmother and great grandmother.

She was predeceased by her husband John J. Potera in 2010, her son James, her daughter Debra Adamec, her sister Dorothy and her brother Daniel. Surviving are her granddaughter Melissa Stoehr of Papillion, NE, her grandson Christopher Gross of Monroe Township and her five great grandchildren Alexandra, Jackson, Trenton, Meadow and Joslyn. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday March 14th at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg.

Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Wednesday 4-6 p.m. and Thursday 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Mrs. Potera may be made to the animal rescue organization of your choice.
