Barbara Marie (Glunz) Miller, 69, of Harrisburg, passed away with peace and grace Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Linden Village, Lebanon. Born on April 14, 1950, in Pottsville, PA, Barbara was a daughter of the late Clemens and Catherine (Ecker) Glunz. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter Glunz and Charles Glunz II, and sister, Christine (Glunz) Ladavat.

Barbara graduated from Bishop McDevitt HS, and then earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Immaculata U., Philadelphia. She was a dedicated teacher in the Harrisburg School District for 35 years, having been a member of the CPCTM, PCTM, NCTM, HEA, and PSEA. She contributed much to both faculty and students.

Barbara attended St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Harrisburg. She was a member of the Central PA Friends of Jazz, and also was a black belt in Isshin Ryu Karate Do. Surviving are her husband, James E. Miller, her brother-in-law, William F. Miller, sister-in-law, Frances Ebersole (Jay), two sisters, Mary (Glunz) Muir (Eric) and Stephanie (Glunz) Kreysar, her two brothers, Clemens “Barney” Glunz (Barbara) and Gerard Glunz (Linda), and many loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Barbara’s life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111. Viewing, beginning at 10:00 AM, will precede the Mass at church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg.
