OBITUARY BARBARA S MILLER June 25, 1946 – October 3, 2018 Barbara Sue Elton Miller, 72, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully in her home on October 3rd, 2018. Barbara was born June 25th, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Willard R. Elton and Ami D. Dewees. She graduated from Sterling College in May 1978, with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Barbara had a career in dietary & food management, she had a passion to help and serve others. She retired from Safeway where she worked in the deli department. Barbara married Irvin “Bud” William Miller on September 12th, 1969.

Barbara was affiliated with many organizations, both in the community and state. She enjoyed playing the clavichord often, writing poetry, journaling and reading. She loved spending time with family and traveling.

Barbara was fluent in Portuguese. In her young years, Barbara lived in South America, as her parents were full time missionaries for the Presbyterian Church. Stateside, she has lived in Pennsylvania, Kansas, and most recently in Colorado.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Irvin “Bud” William Miller; sister, Pat Reimer; son, Richard D. Miller (Barbara); daughter, Jennifer A. Miller Nebeker (Scott); grandchildren: Ryan Miller, Nicole Nebeker, Kristen Nebeker, Owen Nebeker and Cameron Nebeker.
