Barbara Jean Zak, 71, of Dunellen passed away on December 1st at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, losing a tough fought battle with multiple illnesses. Barbara resided in Dunellen for over 45 years. She was employed as an administrative assistant for UMDNJ, Piscataway, until 2008.

Barbara was an avid reader and a seasoned traveler. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Genevieve and James Sinnott. She is survived by her devoted son, Martin and her siblings, her sister Jane E. Sinnott of Iselin, her brother James E. Sinnott and his wife Kim of West Long Branch, her sister Patricia Stott and her husband Glenn of Matawan.

Barbara is also survived by her uncle Generoso Gesullo, her niece Heather, her nephew James and his wife Josceylene, and her nephew Mark. She also has two great-nieces Cambria and Everly. Barbara will be missed by all but her memory will live on.

Services will be private. The family requests that you perform an act of kindness in her memory.
