He was born January 25, 1962 in Pittsburgh and was the son of Roberta M. (Gehm) Lavelle of Inishbofin, Ireland and Robert Lee Richardson of Georgia. Barry was a Chef and had worked at many restaurants around the country.

He was a graduate of Black Hawk High School and the Pittsburgh Culinary Institute. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Robin Ann Walsh of Greenock, Barbara Jean Carcaise of Rochester, and Bethann (Jack) Gault of Fort Walton Beach, FL. , and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Brian and Robert Richardson. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 2-4:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director.

Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
