OBITUARY Barry Stock December 14, 1945 – January 28, 2019 Robert “Barry” Stock, 73, of Austin, Texas passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019. He was born on December 14, 1945 in Washington, DC to George Stock and Josephine Pearl DeWitt Stock. The family moved to Rosebud, Texas and Barry graduated from Rosebud High School in 1964.

He attended Durham’s Business College in Austin. Barry worked for Texas Office Supply in Houston for about 4 years. He then worked at Walter Tips Hardware as a credit manager for 17 years and for Breed and Company as a hardware salesman for 19 years.

He truly loved people and attended as many gatherings as he could throughout his life. Barry was preceded in death by his father, George Stock and brother, Roland Stock. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Stock; his beloved children, daughter, Amy Saunders and husband, Marc and son, Mark Stock and wife, Tasia; grandchildren, Jaron Saunders, Jeremy VanZandt, Jacob Saunders, George Stock, Chase Stock, and Maddox Stock; mother, age 99, Josephine Stock; sister, Cathy Neyland and husband, Bob; three sisters-in-law, Melissa Stock, Norma Goble and husband, Stanley, and Debbie Collier; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Bryan City Cemetery in Bryan, Texas.
