Barry W. Langley age 33. Born August 19, 1985 passed away suddenly at home on March 6, 2019 due to heart issues. He was a member of the American Indian Coushatta Tribe in Louisiana.

Prior to graduation at Lebanon High School, he was on the wrestling and tennis teams. Preceded in death by his grandfathers, Doug Stovall of Lebanon, OH and Chief Alvin Langley of Kinder, LA and a great grandmother, Vivian White. He is survived by his father Barry (Ethel) Freeze, his mother Lois Stovall (Marilyn Langley), his beloved daughter, Lucy Jean Langley.

Also his life partner Jessica Duval. Brothers, Jeremy Langley (Katie Walker), Dylan Pittman, Heather Garza and Daniel Battise. Step brothers and sisters, Rachelle Doss, Jimmy Coomer, and Crystal Lowerty.

His uncle William (Mariane) Freeze and his Aunt Margie (Gene) Bustle. His nieces Allison, Jesse, and Myra Langley and many more cousins. Barry was a well-known harness horse trainer in the states of Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, New York , and New Jersey for the last 15 years.

He made many friends through out his travels, but his Ohio friends especially, Aaron Merriman and Josh Sutton were closest to him. Most remember him as the kindest and most caring friend. He was also known as “The Chief” and the “Gentle Giant” who stood 6’5”.

Barry started more than 2200 horses over his training career which began in 2004, with 324 winners and $1,899,823 in purse earnings. He was a member of the United States Trotting Association and the Ohio Harness Horse Association. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 5pm until 9pm at Shorten & Ryan Funeral Home, 400 Reading Rd.
