OBITUARY Basil J. DiGregoria July 26, 1922 – July 16, 2018 DiGregoria, Basil J. (Dee), 96, of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Pearl River, NY, passed away peacefully on July 16 surrounded by family at his home. Dee was born and raised in Staten Island, NY and was the last surviving child of 9. He enlisted in the Navy after graduating High School during WWII, serving for 3 1/2 years.

He worked for the NY Telephone Company where he met his beloved wife, Margaret (Peggy) Mackenzie. They have been married for 63 years and raised 6 children in Pearl River, NY. After 35 years of service Dee retired and moved to Palm Coast.

Dee was an avid golfer, loved to garden and had a green thumb. He loved to spend vacations with his family in the Poconos, camping and weeks at the Jersey Shore. His motto was “Family First”!

Dee is survived by his wife Peggy and children Carol Coulter (Lon), Jeanne Michaud, Patricia Dolan, John, Mary Beth Maudlin (Tim), Kenneth; his 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on July 28 at 10am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with Mass at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Florida Hospital HospiceCare.
