Beatrice Dorothy “GB” Aronson rode her scooter to infinity and beyond on March 19th, 2019. Beatrice came barreling into this world on April 15th, 1945 to Beatrice “Memoo” Allison and John Durstin. After meeting her husband in grade school; inviting all of her classmates but him to her birthday party, having her mother chasing him around telling him to go out with her, she married her prince charming Randolph “Art” Aronson on September 21st, 1966.

They had a love greater than any Disney fairytale. It was not long afterwards they welcomed their children Todd, Greg, Nicole and Robin into this world. In 1971 she found her second love, Walt Disney World.

During that time and years following, she was known by her family and friends as the Queen of Disney. She spread her infectious infatuation and love for all things Disney to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and niece. She may have been known for being a loving mother, devoted grandmother & great grandmother, the Queen of Disney but she also was known as a speed demon on her scooter and leaving her family in the dust on her way to the next attraction.

She always had some Disney magic with her wherever she went. Beatrice enjoyed taking your money during a game of blitz, loosing that money to the casino then would stand under the moon with her empty purse open yelling “Fill it up, Fill it Up” in hopes she would get her money back. We knew that it would never work but let her do it for our own entertainment.

But it wasn’t long before she was back at the casino. She also loved singing and would make her entire family join in. Out of the whole group she had the best voice, but with some alcohol her families singing became for tolerable.

Beatrice’s family was her greatest love. Though her children lived in different states, she enjoyed spending her last years at each of their houses. She may have done it backwards by spending the cold, harsh winters in Iowa, enjoying the beautiful spring/ fall weather in Alabama and spending her summer in the hot Florida sun.

But she was stubborn and didn’t do anything the normal way. Beatrice will be sorely missed by her sisters; Roxanne (Toddio) Gianni, Alexis (Rick) Wade, Randee (Dave) Miller, children; Todd (Laura) Aronson, Greg (Adrienne) Aronson, Robin (Jerry) Runde, grandchildren; Nicole (Tj) Worrell, Samantha (Rob) Korman, Jerry, Victoria, Taylor, Alex, Hunter, great grandchildren; Charleston, Bode, and her many nieces and nephews. She has be reunited with her husband; Randolph Aronson, daughter; Nicole Aronson, mother; Beatrice “Memoo” Allison, father; John Durstin, brother; Scott Durstin.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Welling Regional Health Center for the excellent care she received. Beware… She has joined the band of hitch hiking ghost in the Haunted Mansion. She may haunt you till you return or until you bring her to a casino.

Family and friends are welcome to join us for a Celebration of Life, Friday March 22 at Greg and Adrienne’s house any time after 5 PM. If you need directions, please text, call or message Greg Aronson.
