Beatrice F. “Bea” Armantrout, age 88, of Cheboygan passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Hospice House. She was born October 8, 1930 in Cheboygan, the daughter of the late John and Julia (Gorall) Goebel. On October 27, 1951 in Cheboygan, Bea married Leo Armantrout who survives.

Bea was a member of the River of Life Church and enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, baking cookies for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was known as the “Cookie Grandma”. Beside her husband Leo, Bea is survived by her four children, Janet (Buddy) Ormsbee of Cheboygan, Jim (Laura) Armantrout of St. Johns, Cathy (Dan) Chase of Cheboygan and Roger (Cherelynn) Armantrout, also of Cheboygan, her brother, Richard (Nancy) Goebel of Hickory Corners, son-in-law, Bill Quesnell of Cheboygan, 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Quesnell, two sisters, Arlene Douglas and Mildred Aldrich and her two brothers, George and John Goebel.

No services are planned at this time. Those wishing to make a donation in Bea’s name should consider the Cheboygan Hospice House. Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
