Beatrice Lee LaPlante, 67, of Arnold died Feb. 10, 2019, in Arnold. Mrs. LaPlante was a business analyst who retired from Unigroup.

She attended First Baptist Church of Fenton and loved spending time with family, traveling, baking and sewing. Mrs. LaPlante faithfully attended women’s Bible studies at her church and took piano lessons and art classes with her granddaughters. For Christmas 2018, she volunteered to make quilts for Jefferson County foster children.

Born Aug. 28, 1951, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Loren and Martha (Chazelle) Berkemeyer. She is survived by her husband: Donald LaPlante of Arnold; two sons: Jon (Dana) La Plante of Prague, Czech Republic, and Timothy (Mindy) LaPlante of Imperial; a sister: Sandra Keilholz of Chamois; a brother: Kenneth Berkemeyer of Morrison; nine grandchildren: Aubrey LaPlante, Norah LaPlante, Clara LaPlante, Ruthie LaPlante, Phoebe LaPlante, Caleb LaPlante, Evelin La Plante, Immanuel La Plante and Timothy La Plante.
