Ben Frankly Wilson, age 74, resident of Somerville and husband of Pamela Wilson, departed this life Sunday night, December 9, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. A Funeral Service for Mr. Wilson will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating ministers will be Bro.

Mike Hollaway of Oakland and Bro. William Barnes of Rossville. Interment will follow in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.

A visitation for Mr. Wilson will be from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Ben was born February 19, 1944 in Grand Junction, Tennessee, the son of the late Thomas Grey Wilson and Margie Elizabeth Earnest Wilson. He received his education in Collierville.

He was the Fire Chief for the Town of Collierville before his retirement in 1995 and was also the owner and operator of Property Maintenance Services. Ben was a charter member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rossville and served at the Fayette Baptist Association. He was married October 28, 1977 to the former Pamela Williams and enjoyed outdoor activities that included camping and boating.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pamela W. Wilson of Somerville, TN; his daughter, Vicki Almond (Marty) of Arlington, TN; two sons, Timothy Wayne Wilson of Conroe, TX, Stephen Christopher Wilson (Megan) of Somerville, TN; two sisters, Reba Guthrie (Everett) of Sharpsburg, GA, Joanne Wilson Gouge of Collierville, TN; his brother, Boyce William Wilson (Barbara) of Hickory Valley, TN; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Duane Wilson and Howard Glenn Wilson. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Everett Guthrie, Larry Pugh, James Parks, David Young, Keith Williams, Marty Almond, J.D. Miller and Cecil Reddit.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 5300 TN-194, Rossville, TN 38066.
