Ben’s Obituary Ben Laso, 63, life resident of Brush, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 9, 2019. He was born May 29, 1955, in Brush to Elizabeth & Frank Laso. Ben graduated from Brush High School in 1974.

On June 14, 1986 he married Wanda Killough. Due to health issues, Ben recently retired from the Colorado Department of Corrections. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with friends.

His favorite activity was spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Wanda; 1 daughter, Faith (Jon) Johnson of Wiggins, CO; his parents, Betty & Frank Laso of Brush; 2 brothers, Edward of Denver, Vince (Peggy) of Washington state; 3 sisters, Victoria Counselor of Brush, Sophia Johnson of Colorado Springs, and Yolanda (Rob) Bever of Buena Vista, CO; and 3 grandchildren, Samara, Jack and Jasper. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Congregational Church in Brush.

The service will conclude at the church. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Ben Laso Memorial Fund c/o Heer Mortuary.
