Benjamin Ryan Gibson Age 39 of Wilmington passed away Monday March 11, 2019 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Born March 28, 1979 in Kankakee, Benjamin is a son of Betty Jean (Gundy) Gibson and Edward Gibson. Survivors include his mother Betty Gibson of Wilmington, and his father Edward (Charlotte) Gibson of Lebanon, Tennessee.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his brother Brandon on January 6, 2016. As a special needs child, Benjamin was a demonstration of the true meaning of love. He was a child that showed us that a twinkle in an eye says more than any word, and that a simple hug can give you the strength to keep moving.

Private graveside services were held in Wesley Cemetery in Ritchie, where Benjamin was laid to rest with his brother and his grandparents. Pastor Caleb Counterman from Faith Baptist Church of Morris officiated.
