Bennie Ray “Tex” Ferguson, 74, of Creston died Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 7th at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Inurnment will take place at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Tex was born September 15, 1944 to Hershel and Mary Margaret {Collins} Ferguson in Huntington, West Virginia. He was known as “Tex” and “Cowboy” by many. Tex worked at Akron Products.

He enjoyed riding horses when he was younger, drawing pictures, watching Westerns, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by brothers Jim (Julie) Ferguson, Dan (Jean) Ferguson; sisters Barb (Terry) Eagle, Mary (Glen) Fortner, Shirley Houchin; special friend Kathryn Tanner; and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tex was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Charles Ferguson and Hershel Ferguson; half brother Don Ferguson and half sister Della Fay.
