Obituary for Bernard Earl Lozon Bernard Earl Lozon, 94, of North Port, FL, passed away on May 9, 2016. He was born on July 7, 1921 in River Rouge, MI to Philip and Jeanette Lozon. Bernard worked for Buell Hardware in Detroit, MI before he owned and operated Lozon Ace Hardware in River Rouge, MI.

He was a member of the Michigan Retail Hardware Association. Bernard was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in River Rouge, MI and served as an usher. He was on the School Board in River Rouge for many years and was an active member in Kiwanis.

Bernard was a parishioner at San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port, FL where he served as an usher. He lived in Holiday Park in North Port, FL since 1988. Bernard is survived by his wife, Lucy; children, Barney (Barbara) Lozon, Marla (Stan) Rabish, Carole (James) Mize, Ann (Tony) Willis, Bob (Wendy) Lozon and David (Amy) Lozon; daughter in law, Norma Lozon; sister, Marie Cadzow; twenty six grandchildren;forty five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Thelma Lozon and sons, Paul Lozon and Micheal Lozon; brothers, Ralph and Russell Lozon and sister, Ardel Dowdy. A memorial mass will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10 AM at San Pedro Catholic Church, North Port, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238.
