OBITUARY Bernice Feinstein March 12, 1931 – October 21, 2018 Bernice Feinstein of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on October 21st at The Glenridge at Palmer Ranch. The cause of death was pneumonia. She was 87.

Mrs. Feinstein was born in 1931 in the Bronx, New York, and raised her family in Syosset, New York. In 1980 she moved to Sarasota with her husband Marvin, after they retired from teaching. An avid reader, golfer, theatre goer, Mah Jong and bridge player, Mrs. Feinstein often greeted her neighbors and friends not with a “hello”, but with the provocative question, “what are you reading?

” After being diagnosed with emphysema, Mrs. Feinstein moved to The Glenridge and became active in the arts, a life-long passion. Mrs. Feinstein is survived by her three children: Seth Feinstein of Guffey, Colorado and his wife Anniversary, Neil Feinstein of New York City and his wife Terri, Fran Manas of Sarasota, Florida and her husband Todd; her grandchildren Lillian McDonnough, Sydney Manas, Sofie Feinstein, Kira Feinstein, Michael Fineran, Melissa Boyts, and Patrick Fineran; her great grandchildren Ryan McDonnough, Abigail and Sarah Fineran, Elayna and Ethen Boyts, Lynya and Grayson Fineran; and her brother Harold Rosenberg. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 25 at The Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, at 10 am.
