OBITUARY Bernice Lee Lovins July 3, 1928 – October 9, 2018 Bernice L. Lovins, 90, went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2018. She was born on July 3, 1928 to William and Gladys Martin in Smithton, MO. Bernice graduated from Smith-Cotton High School, Sedalia, Missouri and married Edward G. Lovins on April 5, 1946.

For over 20 years Bernice was a member of First Methodist Church of North Kansas City. She volunteered at Northland Assistance for many years helping people qualify for benefits. Bernice was a skilled homemaker.

Her macaroni and cheese was legendary. She was a remarkable lady with a sweet disposition—always kind to everyone. Bernice was preceded in death by her son, Steven, and sister, Patricia Bushman.

Bernice is survived by her husband of 72 years, Edward, sons, Ronald (Karen) and Gerald (Nancy), daughter-in-law, Cathy, and grandchildren, Cody (Veronica), Troy (Sarah), Jeremy (Melanie), Jennifer, Angela (Andy) May, Audrey, brother, William Martin, and 9 great-grandchildren. Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, October 16 from 9 to 10 am, funeral services will begin at 10 am followed directly by burial all at White Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
